Portfolio Tracker PRO

Overview

The Portfolio Tracker is a Pro-tier feature that allows you to manually track your options positions, aggregate portfolio Greeks, analyze risk exposure, and monitor performance metrics.

Admin Access: Administrators and super_admins have unlimited access to all portfolio features without requiring a Pro subscription.

Key Features

Adding a Position

  1. Navigate to Portfolio from the main menu
  2. Click the "Add Position" button
  3. Fill in position details:
    • Symbol: Stock ticker (e.g., AAPL, SPY)
    • Option Type: CALL or PUT
    • Strike Price: Option strike price
    • Expiration Date: Contract expiration
    • Quantity: Number of contracts (positive for long, negative for short)
    • Entry Price: Price paid per contract
    • Strategy: Optional strategy tag (e.g., "Credit Spread", "Covered Call")
  4. Click "Add Position" to save
Tip: Use negative quantities for short positions (sold options) to correctly calculate your risk exposure.

Portfolio Greeks

The Greeks section shows your aggregate portfolio risk metrics:

Total Greeks

Greeks by Symbol

View Greeks broken down by underlying symbol to see concentrated exposures.

Greeks by Strategy

Track Greeks aggregated by strategy tags to monitor strategy-level risk.

Risk Exposure Analysis

Position Concentration

Identifies positions that represent more than 25% of your total portfolio value, helping you avoid over-concentration.

Expiration Risk

Shows positions expiring within the next 7 days, allowing you to manage near-term obligations.

Sector Exposure

Breaks down your portfolio by sector (Technology, Finance, Healthcare, etc.) to track diversification.

Managing Positions

Updating a Position

  1. Click on any position row in the table
  2. Update fields like current price, quantity, or exit details
  3. Click "Save Changes"

Closing a Position

  1. Edit the position
  2. Set Status to "Closed"
  3. Enter Exit Price and Exit Date
  4. Save to calculate realized P&L

Deleting a Position

  1. Click on the position
  2. Click "Delete Position"
  3. Confirm deletion

Q: Can the platform automatically import my positions from my broker?

A: No, portfolio positions must be entered manually. This is a privacy and security measure.

Q: How often are Greeks updated?

A: Greeks are calculated based on the current/entry prices you provide. Update position prices to refresh Greeks.

Q: Can I track stock positions, not just options?

A: The portfolio tracker is designed for options positions. For stock tracking, use your brokerage platform.

Q: What happens to my portfolio data if I downgrade from Pro?

A: Your data is preserved, but you won't be able to access or edit it without a Pro subscription or admin role.
