Dashboard Overview

Your command center for monitoring options opportunities, configuring parameters, and tracking performance.

Dashboard Layout

The dashboard is organized into four main sections:

  1. Statistics Cards: Real-time metrics about current opportunities
  2. Risk Parameters: Configure your trading preferences
  3. Symbol Management: Add/remove symbols to monitor
  4. Opportunities Table: View and filter all matching opportunities

Statistics Cards

Four key metrics are displayed at the top of your dashboard, updated in real-time based on filtered opportunities:

Total Opportunities

The number of options opportunities currently displayed in your table. This count reflects all active filters (risk parameters, symbol search, min return, etc.).

Symbols Monitored

The total number of stock symbols in your watchlist that the platform is actively scanning. This is NOT the unique symbols in current results—it's your configuration count.

Avg Expected Return

The average expected return across all displayed opportunities. Calculated from the opportunities visible in your table after applying filters.

Avg Risk Score

The average risk score of displayed opportunities. Lower is better. Scores range from 0-100 based on multiple risk factors.

Risk Parameters Section

Configure how opportunities are filtered and scored:

Parameter What It Does Recommended Range
Min Liquidity Filters out options with low volume, ensuring you can enter/exit positions 50-200
Max Risk Excludes high-risk opportunities above this threshold 40-70
Min Expected Return Only shows opportunities with at least this return percentage 5-20%
Max Days to Expiry Filters options expiring beyond this many days 30-60 days
Min Probability ITM Minimum probability the option finishes in-the-money 20-50%
Pro Tip: Start with broader parameters and tighten them as you get comfortable. Too restrictive settings might result in zero opportunities.

How to Update Risk Parameters

  1. Adjust the sliders or input fields for each parameter
  2. Click Save Risk Parameters
  3. The opportunities table will automatically refresh with new filters applied
  4. Statistics cards will update to reflect the filtered results

Symbol Management Section

Control which stocks the platform monitors for options opportunities:

Adding Symbols

  1. Enter a valid stock ticker in the input field (e.g., AAPL, MSFT, SPY)
  2. Click Add Symbol
  3. The symbol appears in your monitored list
  4. Click Save Symbols to persist changes

Removing Symbols

  1. Click the icon next to any symbol in your list
  2. The symbol is removed from monitoring
  3. Click Save Symbols to persist changes
Note: Changes to your symbol list take effect on the next automated scan (runs every 5 minutes during market hours). Existing opportunities for removed symbols will remain visible until they expire or are manually cleared.

Opportunities Table

The main table displays all opportunities matching your criteria:

Table Columns Explained

  • Symbol: Stock ticker symbol
  • Type: Call or Put option

Filtering Options

Use the filter controls above the table to refine results:

  • Search by Symbol: Enter a ticker to show only that symbol's opportunities
  • Minimum Return: Set a floor for expected returns (e.g., only show >10% returns)
  • Maximum Risk: Set a ceiling for risk scores (e.g., only show risk < 50)
  • Result Limit: Control how many rows are displayed (default: 50)

Sorting the Table

Click any column header to sort by that field:

  • Click once for ascending order
  • Click again for descending order
  • Default sort is by Composite Score (highest first)

Taking Action on Opportunities

Each row has two action buttons:

  • View Details: Opens detailed analysis page with Greeks, pricing, and strategy recommendations
  • Add to Watchlist: Saves the opportunity for ongoing tracking and monitoring

Refresh Behavior

Understanding when data updates:

  • Automated Scans: Run every 5 minutes during market hours (9:30 AM - 4:00 PM ET)
  • Manual Refresh: Click the refresh icon to reload opportunities immediately
  • Filter Changes: Changing risk parameters or filters updates the table instantly
  • Symbol Changes: Adding/removing symbols takes effect on next scan cycle
